Demographic Updates and Projections – 2013, 2016

Current updates and projections include 2013 and 2016 total permanent population, age by sex, and households at township level and total population projections at 1 km square grid level.

2010 Census Population by Township

Population Census Data - 2000, 2010

The 2000 and 2010 China Population Census data is available at the township, county, prefecture city and province level with about 2,000 variables for 2000 Census and a limited set of variables for the 2010 Census. Types of variables include: age, occupation, education, marital status, family structure, migration, household registration, housing status and more.

Economic Census Data - 2004, 2008

The PRC Economic Census reports information on over 5.5 million businesses. Data include: Total Business Count, Industry classification (863 classifications), Employee size, Revenue scale, and Ownership.  Business characteristics are summarized to a variety of geographic levels, the smallest being postal code (ZIP code) points.

Point of Interest Summary Counts - Annual

This database summarizes over 375 categories of POI locations at the 1 km square  and 0.5 km square grid levels, offering a current snapshot of more than 13.6 million business and other locations.

Retail Sales of Consumer Goods of Prefecture Cities

Socioeconomic Data - Annual

City statistical data integrated with administrative boundaries for prefecture and county level cities.  Variables include total, urban and employed population, land area, average wage, GDP, retail sales of consumer goods, student enrollment by school type and more.
